Who would have thought? With 2012 comes a new chance to visit London. We’re looking at four nights, four days – just like the previous visit – but this time in company with dear Husband and a couple of friends. I can barely wait!
This photo was taken where Shaftesbury Avenue meets Oxford Street (or thereabout) and the contrast between those buildings cried to be combined in one photo.
Love the contrast of the old and the new. Holiday with Husband…that should be lot’s of fun!!!
That will definitely be fun 🙂 and London is always fun 🙂
Have a great time! I love London – lived here for almost 5 years – there is something for everyone :).
So you might have a few places to recommend?
Of course! Ask away:) Off the top of my head, as fun not typical areas to explore: Spitalfields, Shad Thames, Pimlico Road (galleries, great restaurants, pedestrian areas like Elizabeth St + farmer’s market on Saturdays), and of course Borough Market if you haven’t been (it’s only open Thurs, Fri, Sat).
The city really is full of contrasts and you showed well in this post 🙂 That’s what I love about London, it’s full of history and modern architecture at the same time, but the new buildings don’t overshadow the old ones 🙂
I can’t wait to go back again 🙂 There are so many places I would like to see!
