I wouldn’t mind having this view every day! I sat down in the cafe at the British Library for an afternoon treat before continuing work, and this ginormous bookshelf functioned as the southern wall. It was in fact a room in itself, as it has four walls. I wish I could have lived inside…
That is also a half-eaten muffin you see on the photo. A bit too sweet for my taste. I also had a nice, warm, cup of tea – but it was served in a paper cup. I’m not too fond of those, makes the tea taste of paper… But with this view I’d order them both again in order to just sit there and take in the the knowledge preserved in the surrounding walls. I have the best job in the whole, wide, world!
Wow that’s a lot of books! Until I read the post, I thought you were looking out of the window at another building. Tea in paper cups…terrible thing to do to a good cup of tea.
A wonderful place to have lunch!
