This is a lovely little tune based on the billboards made used in a campaign against the war in Vietnam but John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969. The song was first released in 1971. Before the song starts you can hear Yoko whispering “Happy Christmas Kyoko” and John whispering “Happy Christmas Julian” who are both’s first-born children, and who both had relationships with their parents that I hope none of you can relate to. John and Yoko later had a son, Sean, who is the only one of their children who stayed in touch with both for as long as he could. John Lennon was murdered in on December 8 1980.
